Steven Edwards
Steven is best known for winning the 6th series of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2013 becoming one of the youngest ever winners of the competition at the age of 26. Double Michelin starred chef Michel Roux Jnr. commented: "His food is lovely. He makes food that is great to eat, expertly cooked, presented with a certain elegance, clean lines, and it works — fault-free."
Previous to MasterChef Steven trained with some of the country’s leading chefs including Raymond Blanc, Andrew McNaughton & Chris Wheeler.
At the end of 2016 Steven found a permanent location for him to showcase his style. Located at 216 Church Road in Brighton & Hove etch. is a 12-table British tasting menu only restaurant. Previously a bank the restaurant has a contemporary look with views of an open kitchen & bar, dark blue walls & modern art.
In March 2020 Steven opened his second restaurant, this time in London. Steven Edwards @ The Bingham Riverhouse is in the heart of Richmond overlooking the Thames and is the perfect location to show off Steven’s food. Different to etch. Steven has created an A la carte menu that is nostalgic, fun & have a real purity of flavour.
