Syrco Bakker is the star chef in restaurant Pure C.
Trained by chefs such as Jean-Georges Klein, Jonnie Boer and Gordon Ramsay, he now leads the kitchen brigade of Pure C. Syrco Bakker exudes work ethic, enthusiasm and an inexhaustible creativity.
Besides the award of a Michelin star in 2011, he received 17.5 points in Gault Millau and is 59th in The Best Chef Awards.
Pure C was launched in 2010, located in the middle of the dunes with a beautiful view of the soothing sea. Here Syrco serves creations with the most beautiful products from the North Sea, the dunes and the country. These are selected with the greatest care and where the contact with the producer, farmer and fisherman is of great value. Of course there is always a nod to Syrco's roots, the Indian cuisine, he likes to share these flavors with his guests in Cadzand. In 2018 Pure C was awarded a 2nd Michelin star.
